St Albans FC’s FA Cup dreams came to an end on the South Coast this afternoon after they lost 4-1 at Weymouth.
The hosts went in front after just 11 minutes.
Weymouth 1-0 St Albans
The task got harder for Ian Allinson’s men just after the thirty minute mark when Oli Sprague was replaced by Taylor Miles. Just two minutes later the hosts extended their lead from the penalty spot.
Weymouth 2-0 St Albans
Weymouth scored again after 65 minutes but Zane Banton replied instantly to give the travelling fans some hope.
Weymouth 3-1 St Albans
The hosts put the tie beyond doubt with 3 minutes left.
Weymouth 4-1 St Albans
St Albans return to league action next weekend when they take on Eastbourne Borough.
