Gerard Deulofeu’s superb goal in the semi-final of the FA Cup against Wolverhampton Wanderers has been voted best goal of the tournament.
The Spaniard’s mesmerising chip began the Hornets’ spectacular comeback from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
It may come as a silver lining for the Hornets player after Manchester City lifted the cup with an unequivocal 6-0 win in Saturday’s final, May 18.
Deulofeu won the BBC Sport public vote by a landslide 39 per cent.
This was ahead of Ruben Neves’ fourth-round strike for Wolves against Liverpool (23 per cent) and Connor Jennings long-range volley for Tranmere vs Southport in round six (13 per cent).
