CYCLING SISTERS: Radlett girls raising thousands for charity with sponsored cycle ride

Published on: 21st June 2021   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

Two young sisters from Radlett are raising thousands of pounds for charity in tribute to their grandma.

Charlotte and Gabby Forster, aged seven and five respectively, are raising money for Cancer UK as part of earning their Brownies and Rainbows badges.

Charlotte will cycle 7km, while Gabby will cycle 5km – the furthest either of them have ever gone.

Cancer UK is particularly important to the girls’ family, as their grandma was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February 2021 and has been in hospital since then receiving treatment.

The girls had a fundraising target of £250, but within 24 hours of creating their fundraising page, more than £500 had been donated and the total now sits at more than £2,200.

Their parents, wider family members and friends are extremely proud of the girls for setting themselves a challenge and smashing through it to raise much needed awareness and sponsorship.

This tops their efforts last year when they raised more than £250 for COVID-19 funds to support the NHS.
