Charity encourages communities to Donate Don’t Dump

Published on: 8th February 2018   |   By: Jason Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

‘Donate Don’t Dump’ is the message from Michael Sobell Hospice charity (MSHC) as it launches a new campaign with BNI in Rickmansworth.

The campaign is to encourage people to donate their unwanted items to help make a difference to those receiving specialist palliative care across Hillingdon, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

It invites employees along with the general public to have a wardrobe clear-out, fill up a bag or two with unwanted donations and take them to a donation station.

MSHC Head of Income Generation Caroline Caisley, who helped to launch the campaign, said: “This is a fantastic initiative for our local community and businesses to get involved in, and in turn helps us as a charity to secure the vital funding needed every year to ensure hospice care services provided at Michael Sobell Hospice can continue to support hundreds of families at a crucial time of need.

“We are thrilled our friends at BNI have come on board, as our very first company to house a donation station and hope to see a flock of donations which we can turn into money via our three Charity shops in Northwood, Eastcote and Ruislip.”

If your business is interested in helping to support the Donate Don’t Dump campaign by housing a donation station in your workplace, please contact the Fundraising office on 020 3826 2367 or email CCaisley@michaelsobellhospice.co.uk
