An arts society which meets in Berkhamsted each month has an exciting programme of talks lined up for 2024.

The Arts Society Tring Park (TASTR) holds monthly lectures at the Berkhamsted Civic Centre and is welcoming people to join their upcoming events.

They meet at 10.30am on the second Wednesday of the month, 10 times a year. The programme also offers visits by coach to places of interest, including historic buildings, art galleries and museums.

TASTR’s programme for 2024 includes a talk on Vermeer and music on February 14, a a look at the evolution of Monopoly on March 13, and an exploration of Mexican art and culture on April 10.

Among the planned visits for spring is a trip to Rochester to see the Restoration House and Rochester Cathedral.

TASTR is open to anyone and offers the opportunity to meet like-minded people.

Amanda Hutchinson, chair of TASTR, said: “Our members like the social aspect of coming along to the lectures and having an opportunity to chat.

“You don’t need to have a knowledge of the arts to enjoy being a member. With such a wide programme and range of expert speakers, it’s amazing value. Come along and see for yourself what we have to offer.”

The annual membership fee of £53 works out at just over £5 a lecture, and guests can attend for £8 per lecture.
