A trio from Croxley joined around 1,300 others on a 13-mile walk to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society.
Team Croxley Jets – composed of Clare Lemon, Debbie Waller and Janet Martin – finished their gruelling trek in five-and-a-half hours on May 18, cheered on by the volunteers manning the event.
Each member of the team set up their own JustGiving page ahead of the big day. They were inspired to take on the challenge in honour of Janet’s mother, Pat, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease a few years ago.
The team set off from Battersea, with the charity walk taking them along the South Bank to Tower Bridge and back.
So far, the Jets have raised £2,851 for Alzheimer’s Society, which supports those living with dementia alongside funding groundbreaking research and campaigning for change. Each member set up their own JustGiving page, with Janet’s still available at www.t.ly/1-d57
Clare, Debbie and Janet would like to thank everyone who offered their support.
