An arrest has been made following an incident in Watford on Sunday, November 23.
Hertfordshire Police attended a residential property on Wellstones at 4pm following reports that a woman had been assaulted.
Initial enquiries subsequently led to the launch of a wider investigation and as a result, a 34-year-old man from Watford was arrested yesterday (Tuesday, November 25), on suspicion of keeping a brothel of prostitution.
He has been released on conditional bail until Thursday, February 26, 2026. Enquiries are ongoing to trace the person responsible for the assault.
Those involved are believed to be associates, and police are treating it as an isolated incident.
The victim remains in the hospital after suffering wounds to her chest and abdomen, which officers believe were made with a small knife.
