‘CRITICAL CONDITION’: Man charged with attempted murder following stabbing in Bushey

Detectives have launched an investigation following a stabbing in Bushey.

Just after 11.30pm on Saturday, November 29, officers were called following reports of an altercation involving two males in the Vu Lounge in High Street.
Following the altercation, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a critical condition.
Dequarn Williams, aged 25 and of Sancroft Close in north-west London, has now been charged with attempted murder.
He was remanded in custody following an appearance at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday, December 2).
He will next appear at St Albans Crown Court on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, she has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Detective Inspector Lee Martin from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “Our investigations are moving at pace, and I am encouraging anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has further information that could assist with our enquiries to come forward.
“This appears to be an isolated incident and there is believed to be no risk to the wider public.”
