Radlett Cricket Club is set to host its first ever four-day county championship match in June.
The first-class counties list was announced on Tuesday, November 27 where the news that Radlett Cricket Club had also been awarded its first London one-day cup match.
It was decided that Middlesex are set to play away from Lord’s next season. As well as being the hosts for the Specsavers County Championship – Division Two four-day match.
The RL50 match date begins on Wednesday, May 1 against Somerset. The county championship match against Glamorgan takes place on Monday, June 17 to Thursday, June 20.
Radlett Cricket Club received top marks in a recent survey that was taken, from all out-grounds used nationally by 18 first-class counties.
With Radlett scoring top marks, it gave Middlesex the confidence to award them with their first ever county championship match.
Colin Warne, club secretary, said: “We have successfully hosted one-day matches each season since 2015.
“It’s a real feather in the club’s cap to additionally get a four day match.
“We hope the Radlett public will come along in numbers to make both events a great success.”
