The charities she will be fundraising for this year include the Peace Hospice Care and the Abbots Langley and District Royal British Legion.
Chairman Cllr Grimston said: “It is a privilege to have been elected as Chairman of Watford Borough Council, especially during its centenary year. I am delighted to wear the chains knowing my fellow Councillors put their trust in me, and I want to use my time as chair to promote the power of kindness.
Vice-Chair Cllr Feldman said: “I am delighted to have been chosen to be Vice-Chairman of Watford Borough Council for the coming year. I look forward to undertaking the civic representation of the Borough during the next twelve months and visiting as many local community organisations as I can.”
The chairperson holds office for one municipal year, from one May to the next. Their duties are to lead full council meetings and represent the town government at civil and ceremonial occasions. The vice-chair, by convention, is chairperson-elect to serve the following year.
