A Mediterranean-inspired restaurant in Abbots Langley has won Best Newcomer Restaurant at the Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (TURTA).
Representatives of the High Street eatery La Banq were presented with the award on Sunday, November 5, during a ceremony at the Sharaton Grand London Park Lane hotel.
The restaurant opened in December of last year and staff were surprised and delighted to be invited to the awards, as they were unaware they had been nominated.
Voters chose their favourites online and decided that La Banq, which is associated with Studio Kitchen in Leavesden, was deserving of the accolade.
TURTA awards restaurants both in London and beyond across a range of categories.
Le Banq manager Gokhan Bel said: “We’re very proud to have received this award, which reflects our excellent service and food, as well as our beautiful décor and five-star hygiene rating.”
