A retired Croxley resident is helping offload some classic costumes from a popular performing arts group.
Liz Southam, who’s lived in Croxley for almost her entire life, is helping The Rickmansworth’s Players empty out their overflowing wardrobe this month, and you can take some of it home.
Liz joined Ricky Players about 18 months ago, having made her own costumes as part of another local amateur drama group, The Little Grown Players.
She has always had a keen interest in clothing and other hobbies for her include patchwork, quilting and embroidery: “In fact, any craft work”, Liz said.
The sale of Liz’s and other volunteers’ works will include everything from military uniforms to vintage fur, fancy dress, flapper dresses to, dance sets, evening wear and hats.
It’ll be at the Rickmansworth Wardrobe, behind Tudor Parade, on Berry Lane Mill End, WD3 4DF. It’s open on Saturday, September 21 from 10am to 2pm and Sunday, September 22 from 10am to 1pm.
Ricky Players is an award-winning community performing arts group with over 100 members.
They are a local not-for-profit organisation
