A woman from Watford has been jailed for 40 weeks for theft and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) in Three Rivers.
Jenna Harris, aged 54, of Lincoln Drive, appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 2 having pleaded guilty to four thefts in September from Tesco Express, Prestwick Road, South Oxhey.
She also pleaded guilty to breaching an existing Criminal Behaviour Order, set in April 2024, which had stated she was not to enter certain supermarkets, one of those being the Tesco Express.
Having been identified by officers through CCTV, she was arrested on Tuesday, October 1.
At court, she was sentenced to a total of 40 weeks imprisonment.
PC Marcus Zost, of the South Oxhey Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are working hard to tackle shoplifting in Three Rivers and are using CBOs wherever possible for repeat offenders.
“This means persistent offenders can face custodial sentences if they breach their order and continue to offend.
“Today (Monday, October 14) also marks the start of Safer Business Action Week, a national initiative to help tackle business and retail crime in local communities.
“As part of the initiative, police and partners will be holding action days throughout the week and visiting local retailers and other businesses to understand more about the issues they are facing on a daily basis.”
