Pinner Cricket Club (PCC) raised a tremendous £1,388 after dozens of Under 9 players paid a visit for a day of stiff competition.
According to PCC spokesperson Hari Ramachandran, the spectators barely had time to take a sip of tea without missing some of the action at Softball Cricket Day 2024 on Sunday, June 30.
Stanmore fielded three teams, alongside a crew from Harrow St Mary’s, West Harrow and Headstone Manor Cricket Clubs.
Onlookers enjoyed a prize tombola and a bowling machine competition, as well as baked goods courtesy of Mrs Hubert.
In the end, it was the Stanmore Tigers, the Stanmore Panthers and West Harrow Cricket Club who emerged victorious.
Hari added: “Let’s not forget the Pinner Lambs, who brought home a win in their final game to the delight of the Pinner faithful.
“Thanks to Colts manager Desmond Hubert, his partner-in-crime Daniel Langan, and the terrific team of volunteers who helped to make the day happen.”
