A number of Radlett residents have expressed concerns about incidents in Watling Street.
One anonymous resident told Radlett News: “There have been several nasty incidents on our high street where masked and/or hooded youths have entered shops and intimidated people inside.
“It would be useful to know what we should do if we encounter such a scary incident.”
The individual referred to two incidents in particular, one of which was reported on social media on Monday, August 5. Several residents stated their concern over a man who was allegedly seen wandering down Watling Street whilst stabbing the air with a silver object.
The second incident took place on Tuesday, March 26, when masked men went into two Jewish delis on Watling Street and confronted staff. They allegedly asked odd questions, including whether members of staff supported the Israeli Defence Forces.
Herts Police told Radlett News that the local sergeant was unaware of any of the events reported, but stated that residents were welcome to report any information that may assist them.
