A Northwood netball club has proved that teamwork transcends beyond the court after helping to raise money for Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (MVCC).
Northwood Ninjas Netball Club raised funds for the charity to support their mission in offering care for those with cancer.
Head coach and owner of the club Hollea Shah and coach Sofia Shah visited MVCC, where they were given a tour to find out more about the impact the centre has in the community.
The pair saw the LINAC radiotherapy rooms and learned about the complementary therapy service offered at the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre.
A spokesperson for MVCC said: “We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to every single member of Northwood Ninjas Netball Club who kindly gave towards the phenomenal amount raised for MVCC.
“We feel incredibly fortunate and privileged to have been awarded the donation, which will help us pay for a multitude of projects to enhance experience at our centre.
“We simply couldn’t make projects like this happen without generous support from clubs like Northwood Ninjas, so thank you once again for helping us make a difference to patients and families in our community.”
