Two Watford organisations have teamed up to raise money to help local families.
Boxing superstar Anthony Joshua’s charity Clean Herts Community has partnered with Fresh Ego FC for the annual Community Giveback campaign.
The brainchild of ex-footballer Marvin Morgan, Fresh Ego FC aims to raise awareness of issues surrounding racism and mental health, as well as to raise money for charities.
The Community Giveback campaign is raising funds to provide essential hampers of food and gifts for vulnerable and at-risk families with a low income.
So far, the GoFundMe page has raised nearly £8,000 of its £15,000 target.
The campaign has run for the past two years; last year, they supported 120 families.
In an Instagram post, Anthony said that the project will be rolled out across the whole year.
He also confirmed that they would be spending time in the community to complete local projects.
