FATAL COLLISION: Elderly pedestrian dies after road traffic collision in Watford

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal road traffic collision in Watford.

At around 5.50pm on Friday, December 2, a collision occurred between a pedestrian and a black Toyota Yaris on the A405 North Orbital Road at the junction of Bucknalls Lane.

The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the Yaris, a woman in her 20s, was not injured. The road was closed until midnight to allow investigations at the scene.

Sergeant Chris Whales from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit is investigating.

He said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly died in this incident.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw the collision or who has any dashcam footage which may assist our investigation to please contact me.”
