A professional singer from Kings Langley who had to take on a new job as a delivery driver during lockdown has hit the number one spot in the iTunes Jazz Chart
Kevin Hill Jr has been working as a Waitrose customer delivery driver to provide for his family.
But he could soon be back doing what he loves. He recently recorded a Christmas cover of Baby, It’s Cold Outside with his band. Available to pre-order yesterday, the track was released today and has shot to the top spot in just 24 hours.
Kevin said he was delighted with the reaction
He commented: “It’s a sign people are still interested in the chart. It was great to wake up to that. It’s something I wasn’t expecting. The aim was to get enough people interested and get the song in the charts but I never expected it to go to number one.”
Kevin has recently performed at a Christmas street party, an outdoor VE Day mini concert and have started to build a following in his local area.
