Abbots Langley Carnival and Procession will return on Saturday, June 14, hosted once again by the Watford Lions Club CIO.
For more than 40 years, the event has been a focal point of the village’s calendar. This year’s theme is ‘Nursery Rhymes’, and the Vintage Crafters have got to work stitching “wonderful decorations” for the High Street.
Speaking to ABBOTSnews, an organiser said: “Alongside the funfair rides, there will be hot food outlets, a licensed bar, crafts, activities, games stalls and bouncy castles. And, of course, amazing arena performances!”
The procession will leave School Mead at 12pm to make its way around the village before arriving at Manor House Gardens, where the carnival will take place from 12pm to 5pm.
The Watford Lions Grand Raffle tickets will also be on sale with “superb” prizes on offer for the draw at 4.45pm.
Specific details about the route can be found at the end of this edition of ABBOTSnews.
