CHARITY CHEER: Business increases sponsorship of Watford FC community trust

Published on: 8th March 2022   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Watford FC

A family-owned, London-based property developer is increasing their sponsorship of Watford FC’s community charity up to £20,0000.

The money donated to the football club’s Community Sports and Education Trust (CSET) will go towards supporting initiatives throughout the town and surrounding area.

The business has a long-standing association with Watford FC, which was strengthened when they donated to the CSET during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, a difficult time for any charity.

Now, a year later, they’ve committed to not just an extension of the partnership, but also an increase.

As part of the new sponsorship deal, Chief Executive of the Bugler Group, Andy Bugler, visited a ‘Man On’ session at the Meriden Community Centre, one of many the programmes delivered by the trust. ‘Man On’ is a mental health and wellbeing activity for men over 18 years of age.

Mr Bugler said: ” The Bugler Group has been involved in Watford Football Club for many years, with our most recent support through funding the CSE Trust. By re-affirming and increasing our support this season, we know that this funding will continue to help the Trust deliver services which are of huge importance to the local community, such as the Man On event which I enjoyed seeing first hand.”

Adding to that Community Director of the Trust, Rob Smith, said:

“From the first conversation we had, we could tell that The Bugler Group really do care for the communities they are helping to develop. On behalf of all at the Trust, and most importantly those that need and make use of our many services, thank you to The Bugler Group for their continued support. We are only able to continue our charitable aims through sponsorships such as this.”

Looking to the future, the group and the trust are looking to work together to created ‘Community VIPs’- whereby four nominated beneficiaries of the work of the trust will be donated a Watford FC home match ticket.
