Two men, including one from Edgware, have been charged after two German Shepherd dogs attacked a woman who was cleaning out a dog compound in Great Amwell in North Hertfordshire last year. Nijamul Islam, 42, of Farm Road, and Mijanur Malik, 21, of Victoria Road in Edmonton, North London are both charged with two counts of being the owner/person in charge of dog dangerously out of control causing injury, three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal – Animal Welfare Act 2006 and duty of person responsible for animal to ensure welfare – Animal Welfare Act 2006. A 30-year-old woman suffered life changing injuries to her arms in the attack on Wednesday, October 8, 2014.
