A Kings Langley resident is taking on an epic mountain challenge in aid of a cancer charity, which she says is close to her heart.
Lucia Pamment is set to hike up Ben Nevis at night on Saturday, July 1, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
She is no stranger to charity challenges, having previously completed a skydive to raise money for the Hospice of St Francis.
Speaking to KingsNews, Lucia said she is looking forward to the hike.
She said: “The charity is quite close to my heart; they’ve treated some of my family before. I’ve also always wanted to do the hike.
“I will do some training beforehand and I’ve done a couple of mountain climbs before, like Snowdon and the Brecon Beacons. I can’t wait.”
Lucia’s goal was to raise £345 and at the time of writing, she has raised £240.
