A group of 40 amateur artists from Rickmansworth and Croxley Green are set to have their work displayed at a public exhibition.

Work created by members of the Berry Lane Art Group, including watercolours, collages, acrylics and silk painting, will go on display at the Elgiva Theatre on St Mary’s Way, Chesham, from March 6 to 31.

Though the group has previously held seven exhibitions in Watford, this is their first in Chesham, and for some members, this is the first time their work has ever been put on public display.

Art teacher Frances Black, who is curating the exhibit with her colleague Gillian Blair, said: “Our classes are for everyone and we get people from all walks of life and all ages. They are totally inclusive, and people feel relaxed and enjoy their art.

“This exhibition offers affordable art but there is no pressure to buy. We want to thank the Elgiva for this opportunity to showcase their work.”

The exhibition will be open from Monday to Saturday between 10.30am and 3pm. The artwork will also be available to purchase, with prices ranging from £30 to £200.The exhibition will be open from Monday to Saturday between 10.30am and 3pm.
