A planning application has been put forward to add more rooms to a luxury hotel based in a Grade II* listed building in Hunton Bridge.
The application, which was submitted in March, would see the refurbishment of and internal alterations to Hunton Park Hotel to allow for 10 new rooms to be added to the existing 60 rooms, and changes to the interior layout.
This follows the hotel being purchased by new owner Neal Khanna, who also owns Denham Grove Hotel in Uxbridge, last year. The guide price of Hunton Park was reported to be £16million.
According to Historic England: “Grade II* buildings are particularly important buildings of more than special interest.”
The building was created as Hazelwood House, but the original building burned down in 1908. The building has since been used in various different ways, including as a country residence and a filming location for Hammer Horror films before becoming a hotel in the 1980s.
Hunton Park Hotel has been contacted for comment.
