A major housing development that has been proposed near Croxley has received more than 600 objections.
Up to 600 homes could be built on land north of Little Green Lane as part of a proposal submitted to Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) by RPS Consulting Services on behalf of Richborough.
The plan also includes a five-bed property for a children’s social care and supported living facility, a mixed local centre, and green spaces.
At the time of writing, residents have submitted more than 660 objections on the application.
So far, objections have included “severe increase in traffic congestion in an already dangerous and congested area” and “loss of wildlife habitats”.
Speaking to CROXLEYnews, district councillor Narinder Sian said: “A development of this scale could place huge pressure on local roads, schools, and healthcare services.”
The official neighbour consultation period ended on Tuesday, February 18, however comments are accepted on the application until the Planning Committee makes its decision.
On behalf of Richborough, a spokesperson said: “Richborough will continue to engage with the local community throughout the post-submission planning process to address concerns and communicate the clear benefits of the application.”
