Pinner Rotary members joined colleagues from all over London to participate in the New Year’s Day parade in London.
The Rotary Club’s float featured a 1910 steam engine and had purple accents as part of the Purple for Polio initiative to highlight Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign.
The Purple for Polio campaign symbolises the purple dye placed on a child’s little finger to show that they have been immunised against polio.
Throughout December, the club also brought Santa’s sleigh to Pinner for six nights in December and raised more than £6,300 for Rotary-supported charities including Mind in Harrow and Purple Community Fund.
The club is also delighted to begin preparations for the annual St George’s Day celebrations and wheelbarrow race in Pinner on April 21.
