Police are releasing an image of a person they want to identify following a burglary and theft in St Albans.

The incident occurred at around 7.45pm on Thursday, June 22, at the Jubilee Day Centre on Church Street.

It is reported that entry to the building was gained, and laptops, bank cards, keys and a white Ford Transit van were reported as stolen.

The van was then seen at the BP petrol station on Folly Lane at around 8.15pm on the same day.

PCSO Richmond Appau, from the St Albans Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.

“We are releasing this CCTV image because we believe the individual pictured may have been in the area at the time and could have information to help our investigation. Is this you, or do you recognise the person? Please email me at

“We are also sharing an image of the van in case anyone has seen it. The van has branding on the front and side, featuring ‘Hertfordshire Independent Living Services’ within a green circle.”

You can also report information online, speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/50524/23.

Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form.
