Published on: 12th August 2024   |   By: Nik Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

Police are appealing for witnesses, CCTV, dash cam and doorbell footage following a theft from a motor vehicle in Maple Cross.

The incident occurred just before 9.40 pm on Wednesday, August 7, in Longcroft Road. It is reported that entry was forced into the vehicle and tools were stolen from the van.

The two suspects then left the area in the direction of Hornhill Road in what is believed to be a silver Volkswagen Golf.

PC Chris Gottman, from the Rickmansworth Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Our enquiries are continuing and I’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed what happened.

“Did you see anyone acting suspiciously or see a VW Golf in the area around the time mentioned?

“If you have CCTV or a doorbell camera, I’d encourage you to please review your footage. Additionally, if you were driving in the area and have a dash cam fitted, please check this as you may have captured something that could help us progress the investigation.
