Locals take on Nuts challenge for Northwood hospice

Five brave challengers got down and dirty and took on the Nuts Challenge 7k, 100 obstacle assault course in the mud in aid of Michael Sobell Hospice in Northwood and have raised over £5,400 between them. Terry and Lisa Spitz from Northwood, Robert Pepper from Pinner, Paul Kaye from Eastcote and Wil Adams from Rickmansworth all put on their oldest lycra and took off to the muddy parts of Dorking in Surrey to take on the military style assault course designed to push individuals to their absolute limit.  Obstacles on the course included Hell River, Tunnel Rats, Kamikaze, Apocalypse Now and Hamburger Hill. Terry said: “I’m so glad I took part in the event, it was great fun, a real challenge, with great camaraderie and all for a great cause!” Paul said: “I loved the challenge, would recommend it to anyone and all for a fantastic local cause.” Wil added: “We lost my mother-in law, Karen Williams, on 4th August and wanted to help support the amazing team at Michael Sobell Hospice that helped her through the final four years of her life. Everyone helped ensure that Karen was as comfortable as possible throughout and helping her live the most normal life possible whilst ill. As far as my family are concerned, MSH perform miracles, on a daily basis.
