A man was arrested in Chorleywood after police received a report of a suspicious incident taking place in the village.
On June 18 Three Rivers Police were called to a report of a suspicious male loading wood into the back of a van.
The force took to Facebook and said: “We arrived a few minutes later to find the wood-be thief still loading plywood into a van. He told us he was told it was free however that didn’t quite cut it with us, so he was arrested for theft.
“He also wasn’t insured to drive the van so we seized that too. All in all, a good result thanks to a quick call from a keen-eyed member of the public. #caughtredhanded.”
