Three men were arrested for conspiracy to burgle in St Albans after an eagle-eyed member of the public called police last night (Wednesday, September 25).
The men had been reported to be climbing over a fence in Frobisher Road at around 8pm before leaving in a small silver car, believed to be on cloned number plates.
PC Louis Watkins from the Scorpion team and PCSO Bradley Flanagan from the neighbourhood policing team followed the vehicle, which failed to stop. Following a short pursuit by road policing officers, they were arrested on the A1 – just 20 minutes after the call.
An 18-year-old man, a 29-year-old and a 31-year-old, all from Bristol, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to burgle.
The 18-year-old man was also arrested for failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.
A car with cloned number plates has been seized.
