A Kings Langley mechanic’s bid to create England’s most colourful car is finally ready to drive.
Daniel Parkhouse, who works at Langley 4×4 on Church Lane, has been transforming his everyday car by applying donated stickers. This project was reported in its earlier stages in the previous edition of Abbots&KingsNews.
A month on and the car is now nearly finished, with Daniel preparing to apply the final touches.
Speaking to Abbots&KingsNews, Daniel said: “It’s come out so much better than I had hoped. I love it. People have come to work just to look at it.
“Time to start using the car. Apart from the number plate, it’s all good to go. I will sort out a time and place for people to come and say hello. Thank you for your help and donations.”
The car is now insured as modified, and its logbook describes it as ‘multi-colour’.
The project has also brought personal touches from the community, including a family who donated stickers featuring their names.
The 50-year-old said: “A local family donated some stickers with their names on and came and had photos taken pointing at their names.”
The car’s transformation began with Daniel covering panels in stickers rather than paying for a professional respray, with the aim of creating – what he hoped would become – England’s most colourful car.
