Residents of controlled parking zones in Watford will be able to use virtual visitor parking vouchers via a smartphone, dedicated app or landline from Monday, September 9.
Replacing the current paper-based system to increase flexibility and ease of purchase, RingGo cashless parking is a quick, easy-to-use service which enables residents to pay for their visitor parking by phone, app or online using a credit or debit card, rather than with books of vouchers.
Residents can continue to use the paper vouchers they have previously purchased until they run out.
Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said “This is a much more efficient way to pay for visitor parking than the current paper-based system.
“Not only will it make life much easier for people visiting the area by car, it’s also much better for the environment.”
To use RingGo, you must register from Monday, September 9, when the system goes live, by using one of the following options:
- Downloading the RingGo app (free to download and available through most smartphones)
- Or going online to myringgo.co.uk/watford and completing details about yourself.
