Residents at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home enjoyed an unusual visitor in September when a 12-week-old piglet named Jennifer paid a special visit.
Residents had the opportunity to hold and cuddle Jennifer Saunders, who was brought to the home as part of its monthly pet visit programme.
Jennifer was brought along by Performing Pets, who visit regularly to give residents and staff the chance to spend time with a variety of animals and enjoy the companionship they bring.
The tiny piglet proved a popular visitor, with residents delighted to meet her and stroke her. Jennifer’s sister, Dawn French, was unfortunately unable to make the visit.
A spokesperson told BusheyNews: “Jennifer was a real hit with our residents. It was wonderful to see the smiles and excitement she brought to everyone. Visits like these provide a lovely opportunity for residents to connect with animals and create happy memories.”
The visit was another success for the home’s popular monthly pet programme.
