CAR COLLISION: Emergency services cut trapped person from car in M25 crash

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a serious road traffic collision yesterday, where a person was trapped in a vehicle on the M25 near Watford.

Three cars were involved in the road traffic collision at junction 18-19 of the motorway, which caused long delays and lane closures on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 1.

Hertfordshire Fire and Service Service said: “Called to a road traffic collision junction 18-19, M25; three vehicles had collided, one person was trapped. Lukas cutting gear used to extricate time critical patient, trauma care carried out.”

Fire crews from Rickmansworth, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans and Berkhamsted rushed to attend the scene and assist one person who was trapped inside a vehicle. 

A spokesperson for National Highways said: “Please be aware lanes two, three and four (of four) are currently closed on the M25 clockwise between J18 and J19 near Watford due to a collision. There is approximately five miles of congestion from J16 M25 adding at least 45 minutes to normal journey times. Please plan ahead.”

Hertfordshire Police were contacted for comment.
