More than £1,500 was raised for the Henderson Hub in Abbots Langley during its Creative Canvas Challenge.
The centre, on the High Street, sold artist canvases to residents throughout July, who were then encouraged to be creative with them before giving them back.
Residents bought 500 blank canvases and gave 272 pieces of artwork back before the deadline, which the Hub then made a public exhibition out of.
The Hub’s exhibition was visited by 628 residents and 92 canvases were purchased for £20 – half the cash went to the artist, the other to the Hub.
Residents also donated £290 to the arts venue, so in total, £1,537 was raised for the Hub.
The Hub said they will hold the challenge again next year.
While that exhibition is now closed, Artists at the Henderson Hub is open until October 10.
Some great work from an experienced group of artists and crafts people will be on display and for sale.
