Festive lovers have been left disappointed after rumours McDonald’s Christmas advert was being filmed in Bushey turned out not to be true.
On Wednesday, September 11 images emerged on social media of a film crew outside Bushey’s McDonald’s restaurant on North Western Avenue.
That led to rumours that Bushey was the chosen location for the fast food chains festive advert.
However, McDonald’s have confirmed to BusheyNews that is not the case and in fact they were unaware of any filming taking place whatsoever.
A spokesperson for McDonald’s confirmed “no filming took place in Bushey”.
Last year McDonald’s advert was called the most festive advert of the season as it showed Santa and his reindeer are doling out presents on Christmas Eve.
At each stop, Santa gets to indulge on the treats left for him, while the reindeer get increasingly upset over the lack of treats left for them.
“Sorry guys, no carrots again,” Santa informs his forlorn present messengers – before coming up with a plan to make a quick stop at McDonald’s, where “Reindeer Treats” are being sold.
The end result is a sack full of carrots, very happy reindeer and praise for the advert.
However, despite the rumours this year’s advert does not appear to be filmed in Bushey.
