A dispute has erupted between neighbours over the redevelopment of a house on a residential road in Northwood.
Since 2019, the owner of one address in Eastbury Road has been attempting to make major changes to the site, much to the dismay of their neighbours.
A retrospective application has been put forward for the proposed replacement of the dwelling and the creation of a building at the rear of the address.
However, some neighbours have objected to the changes, arguing that they do not fit with the style of the conservation area.
One neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “The look of the whole building does not fit in with the character. When I did an extension, I had to keep it in character.
“I’ve been writing to the council since November, but the owner keeps putting new planning permission requests forwards, and then withdrawing it.
“It’s a heinous thing, and if the development goes ahead, it will let other people get away with doing stuff like this in the future.”
The agents for the development, Design Board Architectural Services, have been contacted for comment.
Hillingdon Council declined to comment.
