Several councillors, residents and staff attended the reopening of a Hindu temple in Pinner last month.
The Shree Swaminarayan Hindu Temple reopened on Saturday, January 4, following restoration works which took place over the last two months.
The reopening saw the streets of Pinner filled with dancing, food, parades, singing, and good spirit. In attendance were Hatch End councillor Matthew Goodwin-Freeman, Pinner South councillor Hitesh Karia, and Pinner councillor Kuha Kumaran.
Speaking to Pinnernews, cllr Kumaran said: “I was delighted to join my fellow councillors at the reopening. The volunteers did an excellent job in organising the brilliant event, and we all enjoyed their wonderful hospitality.”
In a video shared on his social media, cllr Goodwin-Freeman said: “We had the parade starting in Pinner Memorial Park, coming all the way through to the temple. It’s brilliant to see everyone coming together and enjoying themselves. And congratulations to the temple for this great reopening!”
