Commuters this morning faced serious disruptions after a fatality resulted in a number of cancelled journeys.
There was a casualty on the tracks between Watford Junction and Bushey stations.
All mainline services, including to and from Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool, were suspended in and out of Euston Station.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to the line near Watford Junction railway station at 6.04am today to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended; however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
