A songwriter and musician who has more than 121,000 followers on social media is busking at every London Underground station to raise money for charity.
Dan Tredget is hoping to raise awareness for those experiencing homelessness across London by raising money for Glass Door. The charity offers advice, shelter and support to help people build a route out of homelessness.
Dan visited Chorleywood station as stop 209 on his tour at the start of November and raised more than £150.
In a video posted on TikTok, a passer-by asks Dan what is the highest amount he has made from one station so far, to which Dan replied: “90 but I think we’ve surpassed it. Go Chorleywood!”
He added: “This is definitely the biggest crowd I’ve ever had. Chorleywood is going to be a very special memory in this challenge.”
The video also showed local school students who had come along to the station specifically to see Dan play. They requested songs by Oasis and DMA’S, and Dan eagerly complied, as well as playing some of his own original songs.
Local restaurant The Bank also offered their support, posting on Facebook before Dan’s visit that they would be offering hot toddies and apple toddies to those coming along to support the busker.
Dan, originally from Australia, began the challenge in May 2023 and is hoping to raise a total of £10,000 by the time he visits all 272 Underground stations.
