A man in his 80s has been found dead in a canal in Croxley.
Police were called at around 6.52am today (Friday October 4) following reports of concern for the welfare of a man in Croxley Common Moor.
Officers attended the scene, alongside colleagues from the ambulance and fire services.
The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A Herts Police spokesperson said: “His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers. Our thoughts are with them at this sad time.”
The police have said that the death is currently being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious, and enquiries continue.
