A St Albans man has broken two Guinness World Records while running the London Marathon.
Isaac Kenyon, also known as ‘Brain Man’, completed the famous race on Sunday, April 23, and became the fastest person dressed as a brain and fastest male runner dressed as a 3D body part.
He aimed to raise awareness and funds for mental health charity Mind in Mid Herts. It’s a cause close to his heart, due to his and his family’s struggles with mental health issues in the past.
Isaac said: “I was so lucky with the support on the day during the London Marathon; all I could hear for 26 miles was ‘Go Brain Man, go!’. A huge thank you to everyone who cheered me on to get to the finish.
“Running in this costume was very difficult as not only is it extra weight to carry, but it rained on the day, making it even heavier soaking up the water.
“It made it quite an uncomfortable mentally and physically challenging London Marathon. This is a representation of the difficulties many face on a day-to-day basis with poor mental health.”
