There were beautiful floral displays galore when the Eastcote Horticultural Society held their annual Spring Show last month.
The group, made up of members from Northwood, Ruislip, Eastcote and the wider area, gathered at Eastcote Community Centre on Saturday, March 16.
In attendance were the society’s chair Gerry Edwards and president Catherine Dann. Also attending were Steve Pursey, founder and director of the event’s sponsor Robert Cooper Estate Agent; his wife Marilyn; and the Mayor of Hillingdon, councillor Shehryar Ahmad-Wallana.
The fantastic displays were available for public viewing from 2pm to 4pm, before prizes were awarded at 4.15pm.
The winners included Brenda Hollingsworth for home produce, Alan Thomas for best daffodil bloom, and highest points in photography for Angela Bamping.
Sue Alexander, chair of the show committee, said: “The Spring Show was well supported, both in terms of exhibits and visitors. The beautiful displays, particularly of daffodils, demonstrated that our members had managed the wet season very well.”
