A man has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries after falling from a bin lorry in a collision on Monday, June 1 in Ruislip.
After sustaining serious head injuries on High Road Eastcote, the man in his 20s was taken to a major trauma centre.
The road was partially cordoned off by police following the incident, with the lorry positioned behind the cordon and a section of the road taped off while emergency services dealt with the scene.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) was called shortly after 10am.
LAS said: “We were called at 10.01am on June 1 to reports of a road traffic collision on High Road, Eastcote.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a man for a head injury and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
The Met Police later confirmed the injured man had fallen from a refuse lorry.
A spokesperson for the Met said: “Police were called to High Road Eastcote at 10.30am on Monday, June 1, following reports of a man falling from a refuse lorry.
“The man in his 20s was taken to the hospital, where he remains with potentially life-threatening injuries.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
