Watford Borough Council’s gigantic and free outdoor cinema the Big Screen returns to The Parade by the pond from Friday July 6 for two weeks of movie mayhem.
You can expect everything from action films like Inception to romance classics like Casablanca, from family favourites Moana and Inside Out to the Wimbledon semi-finals and finals.
There will be comedies such as Wayne’s World and Dumb and Dumber, as well as the Oscar-winning musical La La Land.
The Big Screen runs from Friday July 6 to Sunday July 22, and you can see the full listings at watfordbigevents.co.uk/big-screen
Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said: “The Big Screen has always been a huge success. I have received a lot of positive feedback about this hugely popular event. It brings droves of visitors into our town centre, and this year we’ve broadened our film programme, so we hope it will appeal to even more people. What better time to enjoy the Big Screen than in this lovely sunny weather?”
You can bring your own chair to the event, or hire a deckchair for just £1 while you watch your film.

The Big Screen has been separated from the Big Beach this year. The two events had previously been organised as one event, but were split up after feedback from visitors last year.
The Big Beach will run from Saturday August 4 to Sunday August 19 on The Parade by the pond.
