Police are appealing for information and witnesses in relation to a serious assault in Watford.
At around 3.40pm on Bank Holiday Monday, May 5, a 17-year-old male was walking along an alleyway between Cassio Road and Exchange Road when he was assaulted by three people.
He suffered a cut to his neck, believed to be caused by a knife, which required hospital treatment. He was later released and is recovering at home.
A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both from London, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
A 19-year-old woman from Essex was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a knife.
All three have been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue, and a knife has been recovered as part of the investigation.
Watford Chief Inspector Andy Wiseman said: “This incident happened in a busy area, and I know the public witnessed a significant emergency services response on Monday afternoon.
“Officers arrived at the scene in under five minutes and secured the area. Following a thorough search, they arrested three people a short time later as well as recovering a weapon.
“The victim is recovering, and I want to reassure the public that we are working hard to establish the circumstances of what happened.
“If anyone believes they witnessed the incident itself, or the moments before or after, I urge them to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
