Sarratt Horticultural Society welcomed the start of the new season with their annual Spring Show on Saturday, April 5.
The annual event at Sarratt Village Hall featured more than 300 daffodils on display, as well as many other flowers, produce, crafts and cookery.
Roger Dudley won the award for Best Daffodil, with Steven Booth named the Overall Daffodil winner. The Other Flower category was won by Ginny McNamara and Simon Hammett won Best Bloom for one of his fantastic tulips.
Kate Soothill and Simon Hammett shared the trophy for Garden Produce/Eggs, while Sarah Altman received the trophy in the Floral Art Classes.
Facing off some tough competition, Julie Mansi won the Cookery trophy. The Arts and Crafts section featured some beautiful entries, with Leigh Martins and Philip Beausire named the joint winners. Eleanor Ross was winner of the children’s classes and was also the joint winner of the Merle Liddy Novice Plate with Charlotte Ross.
The overall winner was Steven Booth.
The society’s Autumn Show is set to take place on Saturday, September 13. Entries must be submitted by 6pm on Wednesday, September 10. Find out more at www.sarratthorti.co.uk/autumn-show
