A Stanmore woman has been found guilty of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, alongside two others accused of the same charge.
Cecilia Bruce-Annan, 50, was one of several accused of plotting to cover up the murder of Justin Bello, 38, who was killed in November 2019.
Mr Bello’s body was stripped and dumped in a bin shed in Wembley, where it was found 48 hours later by horrified refuse workers when one saw a black suitcase on the ground with feet sticking out of it.
The owner of the flat where Mr Bello was allegedly choked, Stasious Scott, fled the country after the killing. His girlfriend Suzanne John had been accused of involvement with the cover-up but was acquitted.
Cornell Burrell, Scott’s co-accused, was found not guilty of Mr Bello’s murder and of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. He stands to be sentenced for a separate charge of possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
Paris Bell-McKay was also cleared of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Bruce-Annan, Christopher Hattan and Scott’s father Oliver Scott were found guilty of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
Bruce-Annan, Hattan and Oliver Scott will be sentenced at the Old Bailey on February 3.
